National Institutes of Health The National Institutes of Health hosts the Protecting Human Research Participants module. This free, web-based course presents information about the rights and welfare of human participants in research. The tutorial is designed for those involved in conducting research involving human participants. It satisfies the NIH human subjects training requirement for obtaining Federal Funds. You will have the option of printing a certificate of completion from your computer upon completing the course. The certificate of completion must be on file with the Institutional Review Board for all project personnel before human research at SUNY Geneseo can commence. OHRP helps ensure that such research is carried out in accordance with the highest ethical standards and in an environment where all who are involved in the conduct or oversight of human subjects research understand their primary responsibility for protecting the rights, welfare, and well-being of subjects.
